A woman from Norwich has been convicted of playing a leading role in raping and sexually abusing pre-teen children and setting them up as "sexual playthings" for other adults.
Marie Black, 34, was accused of forcing the children to have sex with one another and the court also heard adults played card games to decide who would be abused next.
Norwich Crown Court heard the sexual assaults sometimes involved children's toys such as Barbie Dolls and that the abuse became so routine her victims considered it to be normal behaviour.
Black was found guilty of 23 offences including rape, conspiracy to rape, and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Two men were also convicted for their part in the abuse, said to have taken place over 10 years at locations in Norwich and London.
Michael Rogers, 53, was found guilty of 14 offences including cruelty, rape and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Jason Adams, 43, also from Norwich, was found guilty of 13 similar offences.
Another woman, 60-year-old Carol Stadler, was convicted of assault causing actual bodily harm, but cleared of nine other charges, including serious sexual assaults.
One of the male victims said: "There would be parties and they would do some games where the boys were in one room with the men and the girls were in another with the women.
"The adults would have a card game and the winner would get to choose a boy to start touching their private parts and then hurt them afterwards."
Black, who had denied all the charges, wept uncontrollably in the dock as the verdicts were announced, declaring she had been "stitched up". Rogers and Adams had also denied the offences, insisting the abuse never happened.
The trial was postponed last year following allegations some of the children's statements had been altered by social workers.
Police launched a separate investigation into alleged misconduct but no criminal charges were brought
Following the verdicts Detective Chief Inspector Pete Hornby said the case provided a "sickening glimpse into sexual abuse on a large scale".
"In their tender years, these children were subjected to sexual abuse beyond most people's imagination by adults they believed were telling the truth," he said.
"It is the most harrowing case I have dealt with in 23 years of policing. Marie Black has been found to be at the centre of this abuse and incited others to commit abuse against them. She thought they would never speak out."
During the trial prosecuting QC Angela Rafferty told the court: "Many of the defendants have become good at appearing normal and respectable.
"This is what you would have to do in order to be child abusers to the extent alleged here."
Black, Adams and Rogers were remanded in custody while Stadler was released on conditional bail until sentencing on 28 September.
Six other people charged with offences were found not guilty by the jury, including: Anthony Stadler, 64, Kathleen Adams, 85, Nicky Collins, 37, Andrew Collins, 53, Judy Fuller, 32, and Denise Barnes, 44.
