Torrential rains have played havoc in different parts of Pakistan, inundating several areas in in Multan and Hyderabad cities and suburbs, killing at least 15 people and wounded several others. According to reports, the rain caused severe damage in Hyderabad city where six people were died in different incident. The rain has completely inundated several areas of the city including Latifabad, Station Road, Kacha Qilla, Cloth Market, American Quarter and other parts. Following the continued rain and deaths, the local administration has also announced an emergency in the city. In Lahore city, two persons Latif, 35, and her wife Rehana were died when a roof of a house caved in in Gwalamandi area due to the rain while seven other people were also killed in other parts of Punjab province including Nankana Sahab, Rajanpur, Tobatake Singh, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan due to rain and electric shocks. The country’s met office has predicted that the widespread Rain and thundershower with scattered heavy falls expected in southern Punjab’s D.G Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan divisions, in upper Sindh’s Sukkar and Larkana divisions, in northeast Balochistan’s Zhob, Sibbi and Nasirabad divisions, in lower Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa’s Bannu, Kohat and D.I Khan divisions while scattered Rain/Thundershower with isolated heavy falls likely in Lower Sindh, upper KP, upper Punjab, Quetta , Kalat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
