An Argentinian lawmaker has attracted attention on social media after an image showing her breast feeding her baby during a parliamentary session circulated on the internet.
During a meeting at Buenos Aires’s congress earlier this month, Victoria Donda Perez was captured on camera feeding her eight-month-old daughter.
Perez garnered many supporters after the image went viral, with some saying that the image is a model example of how a mother can work and raise children at the same time.
However, others say that she is one of very few women who are allowed to breastfeed their babies in the workplace.
Perez, who is also a human rights activist, assumed office in 2007. She frequently shares images on her social media account of her daughter, who has also been on her campaign trail.
